Workshops and Educational Partnership Opportunities The educational partnerships are designed to extend the outreach efforts of Roads to You beyond the concert hall and into the homes and schools of the communities so that a broader audience is exposed to the remarkable traditions and history of the various cultures around the globe. Using materials ranging from PowerPoint presentations and learning exercises to musically and visually rich websites, each educational workshop or event provides insight into the evolution of the various cultures and their development to current day standing, and helps explain the source of conflict in war-torn regions while jointly exploring possibilities of conflict resolution. The hope is to educate and inspire audiences and students by making this cultural and historical information accessible to students, their families and their communities. Educational Presentations In partnership with music and history scholars from their native countries, members of Roads to You develop educational presentations to engage the visual, aural, mental and emotional senses of the audiences by taking them on an exciting voyage through time and across continents. The presentations serve as the core of the workshop program and address topics pertaining to participating countries, including geography, history, trade, culture, religion, economy, music and technology. We offer two workshop formats as follows:
Workshops can be arranged with local schools as part of the social studies, music, or history classes or as a cultural arts assembly program. Roads to You looks forward to collaborating with your educational institutions on presenting workshops.
